Not Losing Belly weight? What's in your food?

The topic of losing belly weight is sad because it bring up feelings of frustration in many people, there are people who have tried all the diets and exercises but in the end the stomach fat does not disappear. This can lead to much disappointment particularly when the common message is to just diet and exercise. A new study has revealed why losing the belly weight is so hard and what can be done to correct the problem

Insulin Resistance

The numbers of people who are insulin resistant are over 100 million in the United States, this means you are probably insulin resistant if you live in the USA. What this means is that the good insulin that should be driving glucose into your bloodstream is not doing this, your cells are resistant to insulin and the glucose goes into your bloodstream instead of your cells.

This is well known in diabetics but it effects millions of people without diabetes. If you have stomach fat it is a sign that you are one of the millions in the United States and Europe who are insulin resistant. All obesity and diabetes linked in some way to insulin resistance, researchers at Life Sciences Institute, Department of Medicine, University of Michigan School of Medicine found the crucial link between insulin resistance and our stomach fat

University of Michigan
Obese individuals develop resistance to the cellular actions of insulin, characterized by an impaired ability of insulin to inhibit glucose output from the liver and to promote glucose uptake in fat and muscle” Losing belly weight is linked to how well your body uses insulin, if you are healthy glucose goes in the cells, if you have stomach fat glucose is going in the bloodstream.

They conclude: Tissues such as muscle, fat and liver become less responsive or resistant to insulin.

This is why doing 1,000 sit up daily and dieting will not remove that fat around the middle. People with flat stomachs have insulin that works well, the insulin is shooting glucose into their cells and this creates energy and a low body fat. An insulin resistance diet is what reverses stomach fat but few diets can.

What caused your insulin resistance? Some people are born with a tendency towards insulin resistance, if you had parents with stomach fat you may have inherited those genes. The number one cause of insulin resistance today is processed foods like high fructose corn syrup. This fake sugar is added to all foods today and it causes insulin resistance but it is only one of so many foods that do this today. If your diet does not reverse insulin resistance you are wasting your time in losing the belly, it is not going away.

Only a diet designed to reverse insulin resistance can remove stomach fat today, the foods set you up to fail. A diet must also reverse the damage from processed foods and this is what most cannot do.

An insulin resistance diet in Europe showed people in 17 countries that when you reverse insulin resistance losing belly fat is easy and requires no exercise, this was revealed in 17 countries. Teens and children usually have the healthiest insulin which drives glucose into the cells causes a flat stomach and an abundance of energy. Sadly, today insulin resistance has attacked our kids and their cells are resisting insulin, this is the true cause of the diabetes and obesity crisis in children today.
